14 people killed as bus plunges into canal in Turkey's Osmaniye

A bus carrying school children, teachers and parents has fallen into an irrigation canal, killing 14 people, including six children, 24 others were injured.

The accident occurred in southern Osmaniye province as the bus was returning from a school trip to a national park and museum.

The bus collided with a car, lost control and veered into the irrigation canal, Anadolu Agency reports.

At least three of the injured passengers were in serious condition.
