Russian Finance Ministry: we have no plans to issue more Eurobonds now
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRussia is not considering plans to issue more Eurobonds, but the government may adjust domestic borrowing plans in the autumn, Russian Deputy Finance Minister Sergey Storchak said.
"We have tested the market," Reuters cited Storchak as saying.
He said the cabinet could revise its domestic borrowing plans in the autumn, which would depend on possible amendments to the state budget.
"The leadership on yuan procedures belongs to the Central Bank and the Exchange. They are to create the platform, while the Finance Ministry will use it or won’t do it. We see the situation a bit differently. We would like to see Chinese investors here not vice versa - when we enter their market with our securities," TASS cited him as saying.
