Murder of Spartak fan result of 'taxi row' - prosecutor

The murder of a Spartak fan, Yegor Sviridov, was the result of a row between two groups of youths over who would take an approaching taxi, ITAR-TASS reports, citing the country's general prosecutor office.

The death of the fan provoked a mass rally in Manezh Square this weekend. There are fears of more violence this evening.

About 20 people were arrested by the police near Kievsky train station near the centre of the capital today.
