BP halts work on Azerbaijani platform

BP, operator of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block in the Azerbaijani sector
of the Caspian, halted oil extraction from the light platform at
Chirag field, BP Azerbaijan told Trend on Wednesday. The work was
halted on Saturday.

The operator said that they need repair works required by security
rules. Other facilities on Azeri field and Guneshli, including the
Sangachal oil terminal and exporting facilities, are working in normal
mode.

Participants of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field are BP (operator -
37.43%), Chevron (11.27%), SOCAR (10%), INPEX (10.96%), Statoil
(8.56%), Exxon (8%), TPAO (6.75%), Itochu (4.3%), Hess (2.72%).
