Internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan to receive additional financing
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaYesterday the World Bank (WB) approved the additional funding to improve the lives of internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan.
The Bank reports that the purpose of the extended project is to improve living conditions and increase economic self-reliance of IDPs, who account for about 7% of the population of Azerbaijan.
Many of these people still do not have access to the quality infrastructure, social services and jobs. The additional financing aims to continue the support of the World Bank for improvement of the basic local infrastructure, living conditions, income, skills and employment opportunities for internally displaced persons and other population groups, abc.az reports.
