Rocket engine from S-75 system catches fire in Astrakhan region

A huge explosion has struck an ammunition depot at the Ashuluk testing range near the city of Astrakhan in southern Russia, APA reports.

The Russian Defense Ministry said a rocket engine from an S-75 high-altitude air defense system caught fire. 576 people have been evacuated.
 
Rocket boosters used to launch spacecraft into low Earth orbit have caught fire in the depot.
