NATO chief says Europe safer with Britain in EU
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaA fragmented Europe will add instability and unpredictability to security environment, NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg said on the eve of the UK referendum on EU membership.
“I don’t have a vote. It’s up to the people of Britain to decide. What I can do is tell you what matters for NATO. A strong UK in a strong Europe is good for the UK and it’s good for NATO, because we are faced with unprecedented security challenges, with terrorism, with instability and an unpredictable security environment, and a fragmented Europe will add to instability and unpredictability,” the Guardian cited him as saying.
