Slovakia's party launches referendum on EU exit
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaSlovakia's far-right People's Party launched a petition for a referendum on the country's future in the EU.
For a petition to be seen as adequate to launch a referendum, the party should collect 350,000 signatures from the country of 5.4 million. The results of such a referendum would then be binding if the turnout exceeds 50% of all eligible voters.
"Citizens of Great Britain have decided to refuse the diktat from Brussels. It is high time for Slovakia to leave the sinking European 'Titanic' as well," Reuters cited the party as saying.
