Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi dismissed NATO’s voiced concern over Iran’s missile program in its Warsaw Summit communiqué as 'undue' and a 'repetition of unfounded claims'.

“As stated numerous times, Iran’s missile capabilities are strictly within the framework of developing a legitimate defense program and have by no means designed for carrying nuclear warheads," the Mehr news agency cited him as saying.

“Iran’s missile program not only is completely unrelated to the JCPOA and nuclear negotiations, but also, as stressed time and time again, is not inconsistent with Security Council resolution 2231,” he added.

Ghasemi has recently remarked that Iran will continue in full force its missile program based on the doctrine of defense and national security calculations, stressing that raising such baseless claims by the West will have no impact on the country's legitimate missile program.
