Georgia closes air border with Turkey
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaGeorgia is closing its air border with Turkey and is limiting border checkpoint passage on the ground amid an attempted military coup in Turkey, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said, Sputnik reports.
The air borders will remain closed until the Saturday morning.
"We have discussed the situation on the borders. Until morning we will monitor the situation and for the security of our citizens we have limited border access in the direction of Turkey and have closed the air border," Kvirikashvili said adding that the decision might be reconsidered on Saturday morning.
