US: Incirlik to resume its normal operation soon
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaUS Defense Secretary Ash Carter said that operations at Turkey's Incirlik airbase will return back to normal in the near future.
According to him, yesterday he held talks with his Turkish counterpart Fikri Isik, who assured him that the Incirlik base will resume its normal operation soon. "But there are alternatives to that," Carter said.
He noted that the anti-Daesh campaign hasn't been affected by unrest in the country.
US Secretary of State John Kerry said that he expects full power to be restored to the Incirlik air base in Turkey in the next day or two, after it was cut during the attempted military coup on Friday.
"We have not had our mission interrupted. Our mission continues, and we are told, our ambassador has been told, that the full power should be restored within a day or so to the base through the normal processes," he added.
