Cavusoglu assures Russia of flight safety

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has praised the Russian authorities’ decision to resume air traffic with Turkey.

"After a coup attempt, Russian authorities have suspended air traffic. Aeroflot stopped selling air tickets. We personally assured Moscow of flight safety," TASS cited Cavusoglu as saying.

The issues of ensuring safe stay of Russians in Turkey are resolved "not only by relevant ministries but by the people in general," he added. "Russians should not worry, we told them this, and they will lift the ban now. We thank Russia for such solidarity," Cavusoglu noted.
