Second day of FIG World Cup Final in Rhythmic Gymnastics kicks off in Baku
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe second day of the FIG World Cup Final in Rhythmic Gymnastics has kicked off at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Trend reports.
Individual qualifications with clubs and ribbon and group qualifications with three pairs of clubs and two hoops will be held today.
Winners of all-around competitions will be known on July 23.
Twenty-six gymnasts and 9 teams will compete for medals in the all-around on the first two days of competitions. During the competitions, Azerbaijan will be represented by Marina Durunda and Zhala Piriyeva, as well as by a team comprised of Siyana Vasileva, Ayshan Bayramova, Aleksandra Platonova, Diana Doman and Elif Zeynep Celep. Russia will be represented by Yana Kudryavtseva and Margarita Mamun.
The FIG World Cup Final in Rhythmic Gymnastics will last until July 24, giving a unique opportunity to watch the performances of eminent gymnasts from 17 countries two weeks prior to the Rio Olympics.
Apparatus finals and a traditional gala concert will be held on the event’s last day.
