Sergey Ivanov and Mikhail Shmakov become members of Council for Strategic Development

Russian President Vladimir Putin has made the Kremlin Chief of Staff Sergey Ivanov and the chairman of Russian independent labor unions, Mikhail Shmakov, members of the Council for Strategic Development, according to the document published on the official web portal of legislative acts on Thursday.

"To introduce changes to the composition of the Council for Strategic Development… by including Ivanov S.B. - Chief of Staff of Russian Presidential Administration, Shmakov M.V. - chairman of Russia’s Federation of Independent Labor Unions," TASS cited the document as saying.

Putin announced the establishment of the Council for Strategic Development at St. Petersburg Economic Forum on June 17.
