Dagestani president defines main trends of republic’s social-economic development

Dagestani President Magomedsalam Magomedov had a meeting with heads of municipal regions and city districts today, as well as federal representatives in science and business, RIA Dagestan reports.

Magomedov noted that the primary goal was social-economic development at a local level in accordance with the road map for the North Caucasus Federal District.

He singled out such problems as a poor financial-economic basis, and the quality of state and municipal services.

Magomedov signed yesterday a Presidential Council decree on the resolution of social-political and social-economic problems in the republic. The Council consists of heads of municipal agencies, and party branches (with factions in Dagestan’s National Assembly). The president coordinates the Council’s activities.
