Turkish General Staff to be based outside Ankara

The General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces will be based outside Ankara, the Haber7 newspaper reports with reference to sources in Turkish military circles.

The newspaper didn’t mention the exact location.

Changing the residence of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces will take place within the framework of military reforms in Turkey.

Earlier it was reported that the country’s Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said that almost all power structures of the country will be based outside Ankara, Trend reports.
