Caspian hub to involve all North Caucasian Federal District regions
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe project of Caspian hub creation should involve all regions of the North Caucasian Federal District as well as related districts, First Deputy Minister for North Caucasus Affairs Odes Baysultanov believes, Ministry's press service reported.
"The development and implementation of Caspian hub project should involve not only the republic of Dagestan, but all regions of the North Caucasian Federal District, as well as related federal districts, since this project is essential for the entire south of Russia," he said during the meeting on preparation of "Caspian transport-logistics complex" project.
"Road map" of concept of Caspian transport-logistics hub was also presented at the meeting.
One of the two blocks of this project involves gathering and analysis of information to evaluate its prospects, in particular the analysis of competitive international transport routes and their advantages, the analysis of current and future cargo flows.
The second block directly involves the preparation of a draft concept of Caspian hub and is designed to analyze existing tariffs of all Russian ports of the Caspian basin.
The document will soon be sent to members of the interdepartmental working group.
