Azerbaijan changes conscription rules

Azerbaijan will introduce changes to the law on conscription, Trend reports.

Siyavush Novruzov, member of the parliamentary committee for security
and defense, said that the amendments are under discussion.

Novruzov said that Azerbaijan is in a military conflict, which is why
it needs to have citizens prepared for military action. The main topic
is mobilization.

The law will also concern students studying abroad.

The current law was adopted in 1992.
