Daria Klishina to continue training in US
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaLong jumper Daria Klishina, the only Russian track-and-field athlete admitted to Rio Olympics, said she would continue to train in the United States after the Games.
“I will continue to train in the United States with Loren Seagrave, everything will remain the same," Sputnik cited Klishina as saying.
According to the long jumper, it was hard to compete in the absence of other Russian track-and-field athletes, as the Russian team had been banned from participation over doping accusations.
"I want to believe that everything will be back on track as soon as possible, because it is very difficult for everyone. It was difficult for me to be here without them, and it is even more difficult for them at home," Klishina said.
Klishina took the ninth place in a long jumping contest on Wednesday.
