NATO Europe Commander arrives in Ankara

The NATO chief of European command Curtis Scaparrotti arrived in Ankara for talks with the Turkish general staff.

The delegation’s plane headed by Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) and US European Command (EURCOM) chief US Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti landed at the capital’s Esenboga airport at noon local time (09:00 GMT), according to the Haberturk broadcaster.

Scaparrotti is expected to meet the Chief of the Turkish General Staff Hulusi Akar, the outlet added.
