Armenia to establish free trade zone with Russia

PRIME-TASS cites Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan at a meeting
with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Saint-Petersburg.
Sargyan said that they plan to establish the zone based on the ‘Mars’
factory. A bill has already been prepared and will be viewed in the
first quarter of 2011.
Vladimir Putin expects Armenia to provide good conditions for Russian
business, allowing the two countries to develop cooperation
efficiently, ITAR-TASS reports.
The Russian premier said that, despite the recession, not a single
Russian company has left Armenia. He noted that the two countries have
special ties in the spheres of policy and military cooperation. Putin
pointed out the successful operation of the military base in Gyumri.
