Economic Cooperation Organization opens summit in Istanbul

Istanbu lis hosting the summit of heads of state and governments of
the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). The presidents started
arriving earlier. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met Turkish
President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan,
Anadolu reports.

They had closed-door meetings. They discussed prospects of improving
ties between the two countries, including cooperation in the energy
sphere. They also exchanged views on a settlement of the
Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
