Armenian prime minister explains reasons for dismissing functionaries

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan explained the reasons for
dismissing functionaries in an interview with RBK Daily.

He said that he cannot physically get into every problem. The premier
said that the decisions need to be made by ministries. Each structure
needs to be monitored and evaluated.

He added that every minister chooses 3-5 priority goals in each annual
program. Sargsyan noted that once every six months the ministers and
heads of administrations report about their results. There is a rating
system for their work.

The prime minister noted the responsibility for non-fulfillment of 2
priorities. A functionary gets dismissed after several warnings.
