53 Türk Telekom employees detained in Turkey
Read on the website Vestnik Kavkaza53 employees at the Turkish telecommunications company Türk Telekom have been detained in the second wave of an operation launched against the company targeting the alleged followers of the Gülen movement.
As part of an investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, detention warrants have been issued for 89 people who work for Türk Telekom. 53 of these people were detained after police raids in their addresses on Monday morning.
In the first wave of the operations against alleged followers of the Gülen movement at Türk Telekom, 28 employees were referred to court for arrest and 11 of them were arrested while the rest of them were released last week.
