Russia and Iran to begin construction work on Bushehr-2 NPP on September 10

Russia and Iran are going to begin work on the construction of the second stage of Bushehr NPP, according to the report of the general contractor of the project - ASE (engineering company of Rosatom), TASS writes.

According to the company, the ceremony of laying the first stone in the construction of Bushehr-2 NPP will be held on September 10 at the NPP site with the participation of head of Rosatom Sergey Kirienko.

The power plant will be built under the new project II+, which received the EUR certificate.

"In the draft project of Bushehr-2 NPP will be implemented using unique technologies and innovative solutions, as well as a new concept of security," ASE said.
