PACE delegation arrives in Georgia

A delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has arrived in Georgia to study the situation in the country ahead of the parliamentary elections, the website of the organization said.

During the two-day visit, PACE representatives will meet with the Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the Chairman of Parliament David Usupashvili, the Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze, the CEC Chairman Tamar Zhvania and the head of the National Communications Commission Vakhtang Abashidze.

The delegation is headed by Emanuelis Zingeris. The PACE delegation of 32 people will arrive in Georgia in October to observe the elections, Sputnik Georgia reports.

Parliamentary elections in the country will be held on October 8.
