Yesterday an exhibition of photographs of Turkey from the 19th century ‘Closing my eyes, I listen to Istanbul...’ from the collection of Paul and Anastasia Khoroshilova opened at the Moscow Multimedia Art Museum. The basis of the exhibition is photographs of Constantinople from the second half of the 19th century, its unique history and cultural heritage.

Russia and Turkey are linked by centuries-old traditions, which are constantly evolving thanks to tourism, economic ties and cultural exchanges, and in this sense an appeal to cultural heritage conveys in the best way the spirit and life of the capital of the Ottoman Empire two centuries ago.
