Iran marks Sacred Defense Week with military parades

Different divisions of Iran’s Armed Forces are holding an annual military parade on the first day of the Sacred Defense Week, which marks the 36th anniversary of the eight-year Iraqi-Iranian war.

The parade at the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in Tehran saw the participation of military units from the army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

Similar parades are also being held nationwide to mark the occasion.

During the parade in southern Tehran, Iranian Armed Forces showcased their latest achievements in the area of defense, including various missile defense systems, Iran Daily reports.
