Russia developing hypersonic weapons

Russian specialists working on development of hypersonic weapons may get first results as early as the beginning of the next decade, the general director of the Tactical Missile Systems Corporation, Boris Obnosov, said. 

The official has marked outstanding results in that direction, TASS reports.

According to Obnosov, the corporation is taking into account and using the experience and best practice of Soviet specialists, in particular the Kholod and Kholod-2 projects. The head of the corporation refrained from comparing the progress of Russia with that of the United States and China.
