No serious problems are in place for resumption of foods supplies to Russia from Turkey, the head of Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert said.

"I do not see any major and significant problems in this regard. We have worked with Turkey for quite a long time and continue working," TASS cited Dankvert as saying.

Tomatoes are one of the most challenging categories of Turkish food export because it is difficult to monitor quality of products with such large harvests, Dankvert said. Large tomato suppliers have better chances for resumption of deliveries to Russia, he added.

Russia introduced the ban on the range of agricultural products from Turkey since January 1, 2016.
