Japan waiting for Nazarbayev in November
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaKazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev will visit Japan on November 6-9, the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
He is expected to meet with the Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
The head of the Japanese government plans to discuss with Nazarbayev the development of economic relations, including cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, development of oil fields and production of rare earth elements, TASS reports with reference to the Japanese media.
Kazakh leader will also meet with the reigning Emperor of Japan Akihito.
The Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan Yoshihide Suga said that Kazakhstan is one of the key countries in Central Asia. He also recalled that next year Kazakhstan "will be the first country in the region receiving a non-permanent UN Security Council membership".
