Gazprom has no plans to return to South Stream

The international gas pipeline project 'South Stream' in its original configuration is irrelevant for Gazprom, the deputy chairman of the company Alexander Medvedev said.

Speaking about the possibility of replacing the second line of the Turkish Stream with laying a gas pipeline to Bulgaria using the South Stream route, the deputy chairman said that considering the broad interpretation of the Third Energy Package of the EU by Bulgaria, the issue of returning to this project in its initial configuration is irrelevant now - the Turkish stream is on the agenda.
