Heydar Aliyev Foundation organizes charity event in Russia
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Russian office of the Azerbaijani Heydar Aliyev Foundation has organized a large-scale New Year’s Eve charity event in Moscow and 13 other regions of Russia. The head of the Russian office, Leyla Aliyeva, and the Azerbaijani Youth Organization, which she founded one and a half years ago, initiated the activities.
In the framework of the event, members of the Organization and the employees of the Foundation visited several orphanages and correction centers (orphanages for children with serious health problems), organizing traditional New Year performances for the children and giving them special presents. The New Year gifts were diverse: toys, clothes, sweets, books.
Apart from Moscow, charity events were organized in St Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Vladimir, Tula, Kaluga, Tver, Kirov, Voronezh and many other districts of the Russian Federaion. This is not the first charity event organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Russia: the tradition of New Year performances and gifts for orphans has been going on for four years now.
Executive officials of the orphanages expressed their deepest gratitude to the Foundation and the Organization as well as to Leyla Alieva herself for sharing New Year’s joy with the orphans.
