Turkish parliament celebrates 90th anniversary

A wreath was placed on Ataturk’s grave, there was a minute of silence for the founder of the Republic of Turkey and the country’s national anthem was played.
GNAT Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin, together with a delegation, visited Ataturk’s tomb and laid a wreath at the grave of the great leader. After the ceremony, Sahin received congratulations at the first parliamentary session in the Ulus district of the capital.
Mehmet Ali Sahin made a speech at 14.00, and leaders of political parties made declarations. In the evening, Sahin plans a formal celebratory reception.
