Azerbaijan Railways announces tender

CJSC Azerbaijan Railways announced a tender for the purchase of 50 units of electric locomotives in the context of the Railway Transport and Trade Support Program, Trend reports.

The tender provides for the purchase of 50 units of electric locomotives running on the system of 25kV 50 Hz AC, as well as spare parts, manuals and printed materials, the placement of appropriate sites, service providers, and the purchase of mounting hardware, sub- assembly equipment, parts, connectors, fixers, and special tools, instructions of the railway composition.

The mandatory time frame for equipping locomotives and the implementation of related services for 10 locomotives covers 365 days, and another 365 days for the remaining 40. The maximum number of days for equipping locomotives is 730.

All tender documents should be submitted before 16:00 on Feb.23, 2011.
