Turkish company starts constructing hydro-electric plants in Kura

The Turkish company 'Energy and Infrastructure of Caucasus' started
constructing a dam on Kura in the Shida Kartli region for hydro
electric plants, Business Georgia reports.

The dam will provide a dry surface for the dam construction.
Construction of the temporary bridge and other infrastructure,
interior roads and residential modules meet Western standards. The
channel and a water pass will start to be constructed in the first
quarter of 2011, the head of the Turkish company, Archil
Mamatelashvili, said.
