Russian elected Interpol Vice President

The head of the Interpol’s National Central Bureau in Moscow, Alexander Prokopchuk, was elected Interpol Vice President at the agency's 85th members' meeting in Indonesia.
This is the first time when a Russian citizen took this post in the international organization.

Prokopchuk was elected to the position with an overwhelming 127 votes in favor with only 10 against, and eight abstentions, Sputnik reports.
