New 'Georgian Dream' government: same faces

Georgia’s Acting Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili presented the people he had chosen for ministerial posts in the country’s new Cabinet.

The government headed by Giorgi Kvirikashvili resigned on November 18 after the recognition of the authority of the new parliament of the ninth convocation. On November 19, the Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili nominated Kvirikashvili for the post of Prime Minister.

The new government, according to Kvirikashvili's proposal: the First Vice Prime Minister, the Finance Minister Dmitry Kumsishvili; the Deputy Prime Minister, the Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze; the Foreign Minister Mikhail Janelidze; the Minister of Economy Giorgi Gakharia; the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Zurab Alavidze; the Minister of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Viktor Dolidze

the Defence Minister Levan Izoria; the Justice Minister Thea Tsulukiani; the Interior Minister Georgi Mgebrishvili; the Minister for Punishment Execution Kakha Kahishvili; the Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs Davit Sergeenko; the Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees Sozar Subari; the Minister of Education and Science Alexander Jejelava;

the Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili; the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection Mikheil Giorgadze; the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Tariel Hechikashvili; the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Gigla Agulashvili; the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.

Kvirikashvili decided to abolish the apparatus of the State Minister for Diaspora Issues. This structure will be included in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sputnik - Georgia reports.

The new Cabinet of ministers and the government program must be approved by the Parliament.
