Former head of Vnukovo customs detained at Kazakh border, source reports

A former deputy chief of the customs of the Moscow airport Vnukovo, Kurzenkov Roman, who is wanted internationally for organizing the smuggling of goods from Turkey, was detained at the Russian-Kazakh border, a source in the Russian law enforcement agency reported.

According to the source, the detainee was brought to a court to elect a preventive measure.

The investigation suggests that Kurzenkov organized a channel for smuggling of commercial consignments of goods intended for sale at the Russian market by passengers.
