Lavrov to discuss Erdogan's remarks about Assad with Cavusoglu

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during his upcoming visit to Turkey will discuss remarks by the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan about Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said.

"That will be a good topic to clarify the intentions," TASS cited him as saying.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said yesterday that Ankara’s military operation in Syria is aimed at toppling Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
