Presidential election in Uzbekistan is valid

The presidential election in Uzbekistan is considered valid, as the turnover exceeds the required minimum of 33% - as of 11:00 local time the turnover was 6,891,000 (33.77%), the country's Central Election Commission said on Sunday, TASS reports.

The law on election of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s president, "election is considered valid if the turnover is at least 33 (thirty three) percent of the vote on the list for voting."
