Putin reveals real cause of Palmyra events

The situation in Palmyra is a result of discordant actions of the US-led coalition, Syrian authorities and Russia, the Russian President Vladimir Putin said. 

"Everything that happens in Palmyra is the result of uncoordinated actions between the so-called international coalition, Syrian authorities and Russia," Putin said at a news conference in Tokyo after the Russian-Japanese negotiations. 

"I have said it many times, it is necessary to combine efforts to be effective in the fight against terrorism," Sputnik cited the Russian president as saying.
