Iran calls to help Syrian people

First Vice President of Iran Es'hagh Jahangiri made the remarks during a phone talk with Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım on Friday afternoon. The Iranian side touched upon bilateral issues, Syrian crisis as well as fight against terrorism and extended his condolences over the recent terrorist attack in Istanbul which killed and injured a number of Turkish citizens, Mehr News Agency reports.

“Iran attaches great importance to security and stability in addition to mutual collaboration in the combat against extremism and terrorism,” Jahangiri noted.

He also referred to the tough conditions of civilians in various Syrian cities including Aleppo stating innocent people have been killed and injured all around the Arab country in recent years.

The official recalled that humanitarian issues inside the region held great significance to Tehran and Ankara urging both sides to join hands in order to prevent bloodshed in the region as well as to save civilians under siege in different parts of the country.
