The Government of Georgia and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a $99 million loan to upgrade the water supply, sewerage and sanitation systems in Marneuli, Bolnisi, and Chiatura towns.

The project will bring a clean, reliable water supply to nearly 62,000 households, Agenda.ge reports.

The project was the sixth and last tranche of the $500 million multi-tranche financing facility for the Urban Services Improvement Investment Program, signed by Georgia and ADB on March 1, 2011.
