CSTO leaders to discuss fight against terrorism and extremism

Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and a meeting of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in St. Petersburg on December 26, the Kremlin press service said in a statement.

Within the framework of the CSTO meeting, the leaders of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan will discuss allied cooperation within the organization to ensure its ongoing activities. 

"There are plans to exchange views on key issues of the global and regional agenda, including countering the terrorist and extremist threats, the fight against drug and arms trafficking," Sputnik cited the statement as saying.
