Food products prices increase in Armenia, but petrol prices decline

Petrol prices in Armenia in December 2016 were down by 18.7% in comparison with December 2015 and diesel fuel price was down by 22.4%, the National Statistical Service said. 

According to the NSS, petrol price in 2016 December was 4.1% down from November, and diesel fuel price was down by 1.2%, ARKA reports.

At the same time, food prices in Armenia grew by 3.1% in 2016 December in comparison with December 2015 and by 17% in comparison with December 2015. 

The average price of eggs in December increased by 6.8% in comparison with the same period of 2015.

In December 2016 meat products prices rose by 0.1%;  sugar, alcohol and cigarettes rose by 0.2%, while prices for dairy products, non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, tea and  cocoa remained unchanged.
