ISIS blows up remaining bridges on Tigris River in Mosul
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaISIS militants blew up all of the remaining bridges on the Tigris River in the center of Mosul, Al Arabiya News channel reported.
Iraqi special forces pushed forward to reach a second bridge that links eastern Mosul to the city's west, which is still fully controlled by ISIS, Reuters cited the military statement as saying.
Earlier, Iraqi forces have joined flanks in the north of Mosul and drove back ISIS militants in the southeast of the city, in a renewed attempt that would bring them closer to controlling the eastern half of the city.
