Terrorist attack averted in Rostov-on-Don

police station in Rostov-on-Don, RIA NOVOSTI reports, citing a source
in the law-enforcement agencies of the city.
'A policeman found a hand-made explosive device near the entrance to
the police station. The device consisted of a 5-litre plastic can with
a 1.5-litre bottle inside filled with a mixture of ammonia and
aluminium powder weighing 2.4 kg. Nails were placed in the device to
cause damage, after being activated by mobile phone' - the source
said.
Representatives of the Interior Ministry riot squad arrived at the
scene and destroyed the device with a special hydraulic gun.
