Peskov: Russians eat goods of domestic production instead of snow

Russians do not need to eat snow, because they have delicious goods of domestic production, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on the statement of Trump's advisor Anthony Scaramucci.

"As for metaphor, perhaps we can agree. Although I'd specify – instead of snow, the Russians actually prefer to eat the delicious goods of domestic production, which are becoming more and more numerous thanks to the sanctions," RT cited Peskov as saying.

Earlier, Scaramucci said that the US sanctions against Russia have united the nation around President Putin and his government, having the opposite effect to that desired by Washington, largely due to the toughness of “Russian culture.”

“I think the Russians would eat snow if they had to survive," he noted.
