Turkish national search engine launched - media

Turkey's first national search engine, Geliyoo, is ready to be used, the country's Transportation and Communications Minister Ahmet Arslan said, adding that Turkey needed a national search engine because it currently depend on foreign technologies. 

Geliyoo CEO Hakan Atabas said they spent $2.7 million dollars and spent 10 years on research and development. He noted that Geliyoo was most suited for Turkey because they had developed unique tools to find the best listings over the past 10 years, the Hurriyet Daily News reported.
